Our Story: How Faucey Fam Travel Began

At the end of 2018, a passion for planning and a lifetime of family travel sparked something special. After more than 30 years in teaching and countless trips organized around figure skating events, Shelley turned her love for thoughtful trip planning into Faucey Fam Travel. Together with her husband Larry, they turned a personal hobby into a professional calling: helping others turn travel dreams into real, lasting memories. Our tagline says it best — "Memories not Dreams" — because every trip we plan is meant to be lived, not just imagined.

Faucey Fam Travel is a boutique agency run by Shelley and Larry. We’re hands-on, friendly, and deeply invested in making travel accessible and meaningful for couples, families (particularly with adult children), semi-retired & retired travelers, and groups of all kinds. Our combined experience means we know how to balance logistics with comfort, adventure with relaxation, and the little details that make a trip effortless and unforgettable.

We specialize in creating tailored travel experiences — whether you’re a well-traveled explorer or planning your very first international getaway. Our core specialties include:

• Ocean and river cruises (including European river itineraries)

• Custom FITs (fully independent travel) and upscale travel planning
• Group “come along with us” trips — curated itineraries with like-minded travelers

We also design honeymoons, family trips, adult-only vacations, safaris, expedition cruises, villa rentals, and special-occasion travel. If you can imagine it, we’ll curate it.

Join Our “Come Along With Us” Trips

Larry and I love leading group adventures. We’ve led a 35-person Mediterranean cruise to Italy and Greece and a group of 11 to Hawaii and French Polynesia. Right now, we’re booking clients for a Danube river cruise and are planning a group trip to Dublin for the UNC vs TCU football game in August 2026. These trips are perfect for semi-retired and retired couples, families traveling with adult children, and anyone who enjoys travel with good company and thoughtful planning.
